Spring Service
Nearly 75 cadets taking part in the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Alternative Spring Break program volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Iowa and other states. In lieu of sunny beaches, the “Service Before Self” themed program takes theoretical concepts of classroom or training environments and applies them real situations. As part of their service training over the past five years, Air Force Cadets have performed about 38,000 hours of community service annually.
